We are curators of wellness
Collaboration oozes success. As such, I’ve partnered with the people who have guided me to a more complete version of myself. We have physicians, psychotherapists, eft coaches, yoga teachers, meditation teachers and energy healers all available to you.
I’ll introduce you to Alexandria DeVito, MS, who is my functional medicine nutritionist and eating psychology coach.
Hello! I’m Alexandria DeVito and I hold my Master’s in Nutrition from University of Bridgeport, my MBA from Harvard Business School and my Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from Georgetown University.
I was trained in nutrition from a functional medicine perspective; functional nutrition seeks to understand the root causes of imbalance in the body (e.g., inflammation, infection) and to resolve those imbalances holistically (e.g., diet, lifestyle, targeted supplementation). This approach is also grounded in bio-individuality, an understanding that each person is unique and requires a tailored approach to wellness. There is no “one size fits all” method. Instead, I work with clients like you to employ targeted nutrition and lifestyle strategies that fit into your life on your terms.
I also have a diverse background in both physical domains (including certifications as a yoga teacher and personal trainer) and psychological domains (including certifications in Eating Psychology and Neuro-Linguistic Programming). In addition to my nutrition and fitness training, I have extensive business experience, having worked as a management consultant in the healthcare industry for six years. I understand the demands of corporate life and the challenges of staying healthy while travelling, working long hours and juggling the needs of many constituents (e.g., your team, your clients, your family).
A bit about how I got here – When I was in college, after years of discomfort and distress, I discovered that I was lactose intolerant. Initially, I went through a profound denial period, eating all of the cheese and ice cream that I could find. After the rebellion, I moved through the mourning phase, lamenting all of the amazing foods I could no longer have – cheese ravioli, chocolate peanut butter ice cream, cannoli cake and the list goes on. And then, one day, I just moved on. It seems like such a trivial thing, but eliminating dairy completely changed my life trajectory. I was freed from a decade of feeling uncomfortable in my body. It was then that I realized the power of nutrition – what I ate directly impacted how I felt and how I showed up to the world. Nutrition has the power to elevate or to depress, to heal or to harm, to enable or to disable.
Leveraging my personal journey, educational background and professional experience, my goal is to help my clients become the best version of themselves so that they can share their unique gifts with the world. I want you to know that you don’t have to go through the same discomfort and frustration that I did; there is another way. You can let nutrition and lifestyle habits work for you, rather than against you. You can finally free yourself from whatever has been holding you back from expressing your full self (e.g., low energy, digestive distress, body consciousness). We are at our best when we feel our best. I look forward to helping you become the best version of yourself.
