Stewed Apples


4 apples, cored and chopped*

1 lemon, juiced

2-3 tsp ground cinnamon

2 tsp ground nutmeg

2 tbsp raw honey

Dash of cloves

Dash of sea salt



In a saucepan combine chopped apples and water and bring to a simmer. Add 1 tbsp lemon juice, raw honey, cinnamon, nutmeg cloves and sea salt. Adjust ingredients to taste once the apples are cooked through.

*Peeling the apples is optional – if the apples are organic I personally like leaving the skin on. If you prefer a smooth applesauce it is best to peel the apples and puree upon completion.
