Avocado and Almond Smoothie

  • 1/2 avocado
  • 4 oz of almond milk
  • 4 oz coconut water
  • handful of kale
  • dash cinnamon
  • tsp coconut crystals

Add all ingredients to the blender and blend for 30 seconds.  Add more liquid if required. Serve.

Note – this serves 1.

This is my favorite green smoothie. Creamy avocado blended with almond milk, coconut water and greens.  A dash of cinnamon and coconut crystals provides a hint of sweetness. This is a breakfast I love to wake-up to and possibly lunch when I’m pressed for time.

I use avocados in many of my recipes as they are a true healing and beauty food. Their monounsaturated fats uniquely protect the mitochondria, your energy producing cells, from free radical damage. Free radical damage leads to fatigue and wrinkles. We naturally produce free radicals so the more antioxidants we can feed our body, the more vibrant, energetic and beautiful we will look and feel.

If you’re concerned about calories, please don’t be.  This has less than 250 calories, is packed with phytonutrients, Vitamin E, calcium and magnesium. It is also raw and vegan.
